Follow Up Sessions

A follow up session is structured to directly treat the root cause of a client’s symptoms. Based on the information gathered during the initial evaluation, a treatment session consists of soft tissue treatment and manual therapy to allow increased ease with joint movement and functional strength. This can include soft tissue massage, trigger point dry needling, joint mobilization/manipulation, taping, and instrumented cross-friction techniques for tendons and fascia.

Every session involves a discussion as to what activities to perform at home to continue improvement of symptoms, with handouts and instructions provided. Treatment sessions are offered in 60-minute, 45-minute, and 30-minute options. Based on each client’s evaluation, recommendations will be made to determine which treatment types are best. Typically 60-minute treatment sessions are scheduled initially, and as activity levels progress and symptoms decrease, the shorter “tune-up” sessions are utilized to keep soft tissues healthy while resuming full activity!
